When he's not pretending he’s a rookie space pilot or a gritty vigilante, Sam lives in Los Angeles, where he also works as a TV writer, on such shows as Where’s Waldo?, Angry Birds: Summer Madness, The Boss Baby: Back in Business, and The Ghost and Molly McGee. Away from the recording booth and/or writers room, Sam enjoys traveling and cooking. He splits his baseball loyalty between his current home team, the Los Angeles Dodgers, and his former home team, the Boston Red Sox.

Most of all, Sam is a rabid dog lover (um, that is, he’s rabid about his love of dogs). He spends any spare time he can muster working with LA-area animal rescues, pulling dogs from the shelters and finding them good forever homes.

On the human side, Sam is a devoted dad who tests out new voices on his baby daughter Cece because she’s an easy laugh. Sam also has an adult son named Charlie who still lives at home, but it’s okay because Charlie’s a good boy.
